New Romney Town Council serves the residents of the Parish of New Romney. The Town Council's main role is to act in the interests of the parish and its residents by making decisions and recommendations that help to improve the local environment and the quality of life of local residents. The Council works in partnership with other organisations, as appropriate, including other tiers of Local Government as well as voluntary and community organisations.

Emergency Road Closure

It has been necessary to close From Rye Road, Brookland from 11th September 2025 for up to 15 days. The road has been closed at Hook Wall from Woolpack Inn to junction with Hook Lane. The alternative route is via From Rye Road to Hook Wall, A259 Rye Road, Hook Lane and Vice Versa. It is planned that the road will be closed between 8:00 hrs and 17:00 hrs each day.
