New Romney Town Council serves the residents of the Parish of New Romney. The Town Council's main role is to act in the interests of the parish and its residents by making decisions and recommendations that help to improve the local environment and the quality of life of local residents. The Council works in partnership with other organisations, as appropriate, including other tiers of Local Government as well as voluntary and community organisations.

Urgent Road Closure

It will be necessary to close Oak Lane, Lydd from 19th November 2025 for up to 3 days. The road will be closed along Oak Lane between High Street and Park Street. The alternative route is via High Street and Park Street. This is to enable carriageway repairs to be carried out by Kent County Council. Read More...
